Live. Love. Matter

Some say your decisions dictate your destiny, but decision alone is insufficient to shape your legacy, let alone your daily experience. Lots of people "decide" to go on a diet, to be more kind, to chase their dreams. But they never take action. And so it is disciplined action that must ultimately shape our destiny. It is action, not mere intention, that leaves our mark on the day. Decision withou...t discipline is choice without commitment - it is wishful thinking. The untrained debater will argue, “But there can be no action without decision.” And this of course is true. But it is also true that we often gain our greatest insights after we begin; that real clarity and the important decisions that go along with it come after we’ve spilt some sweat and blood and tears, after we’ve been in the arena of action, after we’ve stumbled and survived and gained a greater perspective. So, my friends, do not await the perfect timing or the comprehensive plan or the the absolutely certain decision to begin, as certainty is a myth and faith and forward movement are all that matter. Remember that the best decisions of our lives often come after momentum is gained, after we have waded unsure into the unknown, guided not be complete knowledge and certainty but rather by intuition, an inkling to what could be better or more right for ourselves, a broad and general awareness to what we want and deserve in life. As Goethe reminds us, “Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.” Perhaps the boldness of action leads us to the power and magic of better decision-making. Whatever you can dream of, bring it to daylight with real action. - Brendon Burchard - Live. Love. Matter.
